When people insist that a 'god' exists, yet cannot produce the first iota of credible or believable evidence?

to support the existence of any such critter, and then have the temerity to accuse those who do not believe in such superstitious nonsense of choosing not to believe to avoid responsibility for their behaviour and their attitudes, do you just have to write those people off as seriously mentally impaired and/or challenged?
