What can I say to a close friend with cancer who is close to the end to ease her transition?

There aren't any right or correct words to speak to her. It's nearly impossible to understand unless you have experienced that yourself . BUT actions speak louder than words. Always. What you are doing right now, visiting her, supporting her and giving her love in her time of need is wonderful. Your friend is very lucky and she undoubtably appreciates all you are doing for her. (:
